Neil Gaiman’s Dead Boy Detectives might be adapted into an HBO Max series

The fans of Neil Gaiman could soon see another of the author’s creations to get the treatment of television. According to a report of the variety, WarnerMedia has ordered a pilot for a series of potential HBO with the Detectives of the Dead. The two characters, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, appeared for the first time at the number 25 of Gaiman’s The Sandman Comic. They are ghosts that investigate supernatural crimes.

The interesting thing here is that Rowland and Paine will appear at the next third season of the HBO MAX DOOM patrol. However, the variety reports are not clear, whether Sebastian Croft and Tennant, the two actors playing Rowland and Paine at Doom Patrol, will also play detectives in this new pilot. Steve YOCKEY, better known for the work of him in the flight attendant, is planning the script of the episode.

After the success of the good omens, the transmission hearings have wanted to see more the unique Fantasy brand of Gaiman. That has led to an influx of projects related to the author, including a next adaptation of Netflix of the Sandman.
