A Chinese EV startup wants to build a ridable robot unicorn for kids
It does not matter to buy a robot dog for your children, I could simply get a mythical creature in its place. Chinese EV Maker Xpeng has joked a unicorn robot meant that children travel. As SCMP points out, the quadrupedos will take advantage of XPEng’s experiences with autonomous driving and other AI tasks to navigate multiple types of land, recognize objects and provide “emotional interaction”.
The company is shy in most other details, although the design is seen and the trots as a more cutter and friendly version with children from Boston Robotics place. It is appropriately about as high as a child. I’m sorry, people, you will not lean your way to work.
This unicorn robot is almost as mythical as the “real” thing, too. XPEG has not been revealed when he expects to deliver his robotic horse with a horn, much less prices or availability. It may not cost as much as a place of $ 75,000, but we would expect something that this sophisticated costs more than the $ 2,900 Aibo as of 2019.
To a certain extent, the benefit is next to the point. The chief of Xpeng, Xiaopeng, said the Unicorn was part of a wider moving to the robotic space taking advantage of the company’s existing technology. Think of this as a first step. What XPEG learns from his unicorn could lead to more sophisticated robots (and hopefully oriented to adults), it is more likely to buy.
