Galaxy S22 Exynos 2200 US availability might be limited to one carrier
There are many positive pre-release talks about Exynos 2200, especially their performance, but it might be all for futile when the launch day arrives. That’s because the availability of devices that use a very awaited AMD powered mobile chipset can be very limited at the absent spot even in Samsung’s hometown. That said, there are several markets and key players who seem to negotiate with Samsung about this problem, and the US may eventually see the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S22, at least from a single network operator.
Exynos 2200 is expected to help Samsung compete better with silicon A and M Apple, but actual performance still has to be seen on the actual device. The benchmark showed a significant increase over Apple A14 last year, but the upcoming Apple A15 threatened to satisfy the excitement. Either Way, Samsung is believed to put Exynos 2200 on cellphones, tablets and laptops, although the availability in the first two classes of devices is still questionable.
There is already a word that the Galaxy S22 model using the Exynos 2200 processor will be difficult to obtain, and @Frontron now describes the distribution of the variant. Most markets around the world will get the Snapdragon 898 variant, except Europe and Africa, which will have 100% Exynos 2,200 model. Even South Korea did not get Samsung’s own processor, which might trigger controversy.
That said, there seemed to be a sustainable negotiation to change some of it. In the US, Verizon reportedly requested the Exynos 2200 model, like China Telecom. Whether negotiations are successful, of course, uncertain, but Tipster suggests it is likely to occur.
Samsung’s fans might expect the company to run out on the exynos chip, especially considering it will have AMD MRDNA Graphics Tech in it. Unfortunately, it seems that the production of Exynos 2200 has so far been very low, forcing the company to reduce its EXYNOS powered device to support rival Qualcomm.
