A few days after announcing that the effort to collect the two persistence of Rover was successful, NASA had shared images from the actual sample in the titanium tube where it was stored. The sample image is possible to use the camera on the rover called the sampling system camera and caching, confirming that the Mars piece has been completely and fully stored.

NASA’s first attempt to collect Mars samples for storage in titanium tubes did not go as expected. Although the drilling process and storage process both occur, nothing is truly placed into the tube. This, the space agent concludes, is likely because of the consistency of rocks that are different from anticipated, meaning that the sample may be destroyed into dust.

The space body evaluates various potential targets, canceling them before to make sure they match, and then start the next sample drilling effort just a few days later. The second drilling effort was successful, NASA reported in recent days, producing the right core samples placed into titanium tubes.

Space Agency returned on Monday with several storage tube images, which will be stored in the target location on Mars to take missions in the future. The image shows the two lid on the tube with a serial number, as well as the inside of the tube where the small cylinder stone is visible. With this milestone, NASA has officially packed a little Mars which will eventually be sent to Earth to study.

This is a milestone for NASA and Mars exploration, making it more likely than before that researchers will one day be able to hold a piece of red planet. NASA plans to collect many samples from various places on Mars, save each in an airtight titanium tube for the campaign of Mars samples in the future, which will involve the partnership between NASA and ESA.
