Over the past few weeks we have worked with Elegoo Mercury X bundle wash and cure machines for 3D printing. This collection of devices is made for post-printing cleaning for 3D printing products made with light sensitive resin (MSLA, LCD resin printer). This device is not fully needed for beginners, but after you use it, you will never return to your old way with post-processing.

Both machines are sent at once, if you buy a bundle from Elegoo. There is a washing machine and a curing machine that both uses the same power cable. The only plug divides into two, allowing the two machines operating at the same time. The only downside of this is a possibility that the cable says is broken – you will need a new cable for both.

The Elegoo Mercury X Wash has 7000ml + tub with locked cover that will have all your liquid washing. We use isopropyl alcohol recommended for this process (not included with the machine). Top latching tight with rubber gaskets is very important here, because part of this process can be very odor (basically only alcohol, stinging.)

The majestic machine lies in the fact that the spinning mechanism is fully closed in the tank. You can lift the tank up and away from the base – Powered spinning is activated by a magnetic element that functions after the tank is completely in place. It’s just smart.

The only problem I have with part of the duo machine is an inevitable learning process. If you use this machine, you must ensure your 3D mold, especially your small mold, safe and not fly around the tank. If you only drop the 3D 3D Action Figure Print here and start, it can be trapped in spinners.

Control for this tank includes the button / call / display in advance. This is a slim and simple solution that works. Very similar control process can be found on Elegoo Mercury X Cure.

A little most important knowledge that someone must have before using mercury is that more time is not always better. If you leave the mold on this machine too long, it will begin to be influenced by extreme light. If you put the mold on the machine for the time recommended by Elegoo, you will be fine.

Elegoo Mercury X Cure consists of transparent plastic spinning platforms, light below, and two lamp towers. Lights can be hard, which can / will be dangerous for your eyes if not for 99.9% UV blocking-blocking “shade” for top. Lights will not live except the top is secured.

The maximum size is supported for this machine about 9 inches (high) and 7 × 7-inch (length, width). Cleaning machines are rectangular, but have the same amount of space for print size. I would not dare to enter anything cleaner than what might be on the curing machine.

These machines are good for most 3D light print resins. The only real exception is in special water resin molds that can be washed and sensitive colors. If you work with blue semitransparent, for example, and you leave it on a healing machine for a long time, it will be a little green. If you leave the word print on a healing machine for less than 2 minutes (as suggested), you will not have a problem.

If you use a washable resin, Elegoo recommends using a washing machine at all. Even if it’s just water. Instead, the standard of water flowing from Faucet remains the best way to clean the mold. Washable water resin can still benefit from using a healing machine.

If you have become a 3D printing object with a MSLA printer for a while and you are looking for a more elegant post-print process, these machines do the tricks pretty well. They are a simple machine that is well-made and functioning because Elegoo suggests they function – they are worth a cash of around $ 150 USD.
